Brandon Westfall, Weatherford, Tex., aboard I Reckon So, by Kit Kat Sugar, and Kristen Galyean, Claremore, Okla., showing Coureygous, by Dual Rey, tied with 222 points on Friday, Dec., 13, to become co-champions of the NCHA Non-Pro Futurity; each earned $52,672. Westfall also claimed the reserve championship and $37,726 with 218.5 points on Desires One And Only, by One Time Pepto.


The World Champions Rodeo Alliance (WCRA) recently announced that the Days of ’47 Cowboy Games and Rodeo (DO47) has joined the WCRA Triple Crown of Rodeo (TCR). The TCR is an annual bonus that will pay $1,000,000 to any one athlete or collection of athletes whom win first place in any three consecutive WCRA $1 Million Major Rodeos.


The National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) is pleased to announce that the Horsewoman of the Year award has been renamed to honor NRHA Professional Becky Hanson, past NRHA board member and professional from Clements, California.
