A Vintage Smoke blew into the Jim Norick Coliseum during the Level 4 Open Finals of the National Reining Horse Association (NRHA) Derby presented by Markel. At the reins was his trainer, Jason Vanlandingham. The newly crowned NRHA Two Million Dollar Rider and the flashy black stallion had already made their mark on the reining industry by winning two of the three largest reining events: the 2018 NRHA Futurity and the 2019 National Reining Breeders Classic (NRBC). Lovins and Mcguire Win Hooey Junior Wrangler BFI Week Presented by YETI and $20k

Jordan Lovins of Canadian, Texas, had never been to the Bob Feist Invitational. But when he heard that Wrangler BFI Week, presented by Yeti, moved to his neighboring Oklahoma from Reno, Nevada, he “was all over it.”
Lovins, 17, hauled his steers to his local fairgrounds to practice under BFI-like dimensions and found someone with fresh steers so he could practice on a herd similar to the hard-running set of BFI Week. He capitalized by winning first and second – switching ends – for $15,900 in the third annual Hooey Junior BFI.

Dane Braun was not sure exactly what he was getting himself into when he decided to purchase a 9-month-old son of former World Champion contender Air Time four-plus years ago.
Braun was hopeful he would be getting one hell of a bucking son of a gun that could become the foundation for his family bucking bull business with his sons, Cole and Blake. And it would not take long before he started seeing 501 Air Support displaying some of his father’s genetic prowess.
However, what the Brauns and their partner, Bryce Cooper, also began to realize over the years was that Air Support actually had a softer side when he wasn’t busy destroying the best bull riders in the world.

Mauricio Moreira crouched down on the back of the bucking chutes and peered below to see his opponent Skitso waiting for him.
Can-Am’s playoff aspirations were all on the 20-year-old’s shoulders. All Moreira had to do was ride Skitso and his team would be on its way to Sioux Falls, South Dakota, on July 10 for Championship Weekend.
“I was just trying to stay calm and keep focused on this bull,” Moreira said Sunday afternoon with the help of Paulo Crimber translating. “I was thinking I just needed to do my job, nothing else. Ride my bull like I always do and see what happens.”
