Max Ruggeri and MR No Guns In Town win the Elementa IRHA 4-year-old Open
Provided by Simona Diale, International Horse Press — The 35th edition of the Italian Reining Horse Association (IRHA) Futurity this year was made even more prestigious with the Elementa 50.000 euro-added 4-year-old Futurity. Run in a qualifying go round and seeded finals, the Open and Non Pro divisions closed the sixth day of competition in Cremona, Italy.

Jose Vitor Leme Wins 2019 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Championship to Expand Lead atop World Rankings

Regarded as the “Championship before the Championship,” world No. 1 Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) inched one step closer to etching his name in the PBR record books Sunday evening at the 2019 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals. Winning the season-culminating event for the league’s premier expansion series en route to capturing the coveted 2019 PBR Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Championship, Leme left South Point Arena & Equestrian Center with a firmer hold atop the world standings, now 749.16 points ahead of No. 2 Jess Lockwood (Volborg, Montana) before the 2019 PBR Unleash The Beast World Finals on Nov. 6-10.

It was certainly no easy task to overcome the difficulties of the course designed by Gregory Bodo for this Grand Prix Longines FEI Jumping World CupTM Lyon 2019. In particular, the two combinations - the triple at number 7 and the double vertical at number 9 - gave the 40 riders who had qualified for this class a hard time. Several top riders got caught out, such as Simon Delestre and Pénélope Leprevost, who made mistakes on the triple with Hermes Ryan and Vancouver from Lanlore, and the German rider Daniel Deusser, who had a 4-point penalty on the double.

In front of a historic, sold-out crowd inside South Point Arena & Equestrian Center, the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) world title race intensified Saturday evening during Round 1 of the 2019 Pendleton Whisky Velocity Tour Finals with world No. 1 Jose Vitor Leme (Ribas do Rio Pardo, Brazil) and No. 2 Jess Lockwood (Volborg, Montana) both posting Top-5 scores.

In customary reined cow horse fashion, Open, Intermediate Open and Limited Open championships at the $1.2 million dollar National Reined Cow Horse Association Snaffle Bit Futurity ®, presented by Metallic Cat, , would be decided by the outcome of the fence work. The 50th running of the NRCHA Snaffle Bit Futurity opened with red carpet introductions honoring the 25 Open Finalist owners and riders, after which time the Open Futurity rein work, Intermediate and Limited Open cow work, and thrilling Open cow work finals rocked the famed Will Rogers Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas.
