A huge number of 34 horse-rider combinations competed in the Non Pro Go round of the Cutting European Championship at AMERICANA and the first three places were all about Salvatori’s family! Marco Salvatori took the lead aboard his Highbrow Time (High Brow CD x One Time Soon). The two showed brilliant skills rewarded by the judges with a 147 score.

Americana 2021: Denis Pini Wins Masters Cutting Open

Provided by Ramona Billing/AMERICANA - Today the AMERICANA 2021 started in Augsburg for the participants. The very first class showed how high the performance bar is set here. In the Masters Cuttings Open Denis Pini claimed the Championship aboard Michal Popov's Stop Ur Hot. With a 147, the Italian, who has already won the AMERICANA European Championship Cutting several times, prevailed over his 32 competitors. He also rode Genuine Alley Cat for Davide Tresoldi to third place (145).

Kit Kat Sugar NCHA Super Stakes Open Finals

Super win for Catolena Cashin In
Catolena Cashin In, ridden by Tarin Rice for Joel Colgrove of Boligee, Ala., scored 230 to win the Kit Kat Sugar NCHA Super Stakes 4-Year-Old Open in Fort Worth on Saturday, April 17. It was the 40th edition of the second leg of the NCHA Triple Crown, which had been interrupted last year by Covid-19. The winning score was the second highest in Super Stakes history, with Rice tying his father, Boyd’s mark in 2009 on Third Cutting. Sunettes Dually established the record of 231 in 2001 with Matt Gaines.

Quirk tops 6/7-Year-Old Non-Pro finals
Todd Quirk of Denham Springs, La., scored 223 on Reystylin Smooth to win the 6/7-Year-Old Non-Pro championship at the Kit Kat Sugar NCHA Super Stakes on Friday, April 16, earning $20,902. Chad Bushaw of Weatherford, Tex. took the reserve championship, worth $18,602, with a 222 on Bittersweet. Third place went to Kylie Rice of Weatherford, Tex. with a 220 on Crey Zee, earning $16,302.

2020 NCHA Futurity Daily Update

A New Standard
The 2020 NCHA Futurity Sales concluded on Saturday, December 12, as the new standard by which all other cutting horse sales will now be measured.
Held live daily, beginning on December 7, at  Will Rogers Equestrian Center in Fort Worth, and with online bidding also available, the sale sessions shattered the 2014 overall all-time record average of $27,936 by an increase of 20%, for a new all-time record of $34,504 with completed sales of 83.5%.

National Cutting Horse Association Announces Co-Sanctioned Event With United States Cutting Horse Association

The National Cutting Horse Association (NCHA) is proud to announce Cutters in Cowtown, a co-sanctioned event with the United States Cutting Horse Association (USCHA), to be held November 21-22, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas in conjunction with the 2020 NCHA Great American Insurance World Championship Futurity presented by North Texas Chevy Dealers.
“NCHA is excited to team up with USCHA to host this event,” Jay Winborn, NCHA executive director, said. “We all share a love of cutting and working together for this event is a great way to continue to grow our industry and promote the sport of cutting.”
